The problems of tourism

Tourism is the world's largest growth industry. A lot of countries that don't have much natural resources depend on it bringing finance into them. There are many advantages of it, however, disadvantages cant be ignored either. Increasing crime and pollution are two of the effects of tourism.

Crime increase is a major problem for tourism industry. The most common type is stealing. Knowing there will be a lot of tourists at the famous attraction spots, many well-trained thieves wait there and look for tourists to steal from. For some reason, they can always tell the differences in tourists than local people. Stealing isnt the only type in crime, but also rubbery, shooting, kidnapping, etc.

Increasing pollution is another disadvantage of tourism. Many places are famous for its natural environment. Because of it, tourists want to go check it out. The more tourists, the more trash they bring. Thats the major impact for the environment. Therefore, we should protect those attractions like our own instead of being careless.

Traveling is very joyful. It helps the economy and relax our mind. Everything has two sides, both good and bad. However, we shouldn't jump to the conclusion by seeing the bad images of it. So next time when we go traveling, we should help maintain the attractions clean, keep an eye on our belongings and be aware of our own safety.

The differences between Los Angeles & San Diego

I came to Southern California since last November. I've been to many places while I'm here. I would like to share my experiences and observation with my readers. The differences between Los Angeles and San Diego.

First of all, I'd like to talk about those two cities themselves. Los Angeles, aka City of Angeles, and San Diego, aka the finest city in the US, are both located in Southern California. Both of them share the wonderful southern california sunshine, therefore, people from both city love going to the beaches. It takes about 2 hours from Cal State Fullerton to San Diego.

Secondly, Los Angeles and San Diego are two major cities in California. Los Angels is the largest city and San Diego is the second largest. There are many fun things and places to go. Both cities are well-known for tourism, there are many tourist attractions. Los Angeles is well-known for the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood. Many people come to Hollywood to pursue their dreams of being actors, models, singers, etc. On the other hand, San Diego is well-known for the Sea World San Diego and San Diego Zoo. Lots of tourists go to San Diego to see those animals.

Dispite, Los Angeles and San Diego share a lot of things in common, there's one thing that San Diego doesnt have -"the terrible traffic". People in San Diego seem to be even more laid back comparing with people in Los Angeles. San Diego is a truly relaxing place, perfect for weekend getaway. On the other hand, Los Angeles has more exciting night life and actitives to do. Therefore, Los Angels is definitely where to be if you are looking for some excitement!!

Hard to say goodbye

Is it easy to say goodbye to people that you love? The answer is no. I was thinking about that while watching Friends last week. The episode I watched was about Rachel's going away party. She Says indivdiual goodbyes to everyone except Ross before she leaves for Paris.

Therefore, Ross gets upset and goes to confront her. He didnt know the reason that Rachel didnt say goodbye to him is because it's too difficult for her to even start talking to him. Thinking about not being able to see him everyday makes her not want to leave. It leads to a passionate kiss after the explanation.

I just lost my grandmother the past weekend. My mother called me from Taiwan and told me about it. I was very upset because I won't be able to attend her funeral. I was very close to her when I was a child. She loved me very much and took a good care of me when my mother needed to work back then.

She had been a vegetable since last October. I told myself it's probably better off for her to stop to suffer. People usually don't appreciate what they have in the presence and regret after they lose it. I cant deny that I'm one of them. I think it's human nature that we tend to take things for granted. We really need to learn to value things differently.
